NEWS: A Message From Pat Loika

The San Diego Comic Con is upon us. This show holds a lot of meaning for us here at Dial R, because it’s our home show. This is also the show where Dial R was born back in 2006. Every time this con hits, new projects debut, we re-debut the website, and we gain new members.

To continue in that tradition, and to celebrate our third anniversary as a studio, we are very proud to welcome four new additions to the studio.

First, is writer Barry Miller. Barry started out as a screenwriter and has done many exciting works. His first foray into comics comes in the form of Billy Banes. Barry is recent, but not exactly brand new. He started with Dial R Studios at 2007's Comic Con International.

Then we have writer Mike Fugere. Mike is the creator of the noir series titled Contract Blues. Mike is continuing the book under the Dial R banner, and will be releasing his new projects through us as well.

Next, is writer Adam Witt. Adam and I go back a long way, and have been working on a few collaborations in the past couple years. The first of which is Blacklisted, an original graphic novel that will see print in 2009. Our other major project is a graphic novel titled Live Forever, which I can’t talk about just yet.

Last but not least is artist Adam Geen. Like the majority of us, Adam got his start at Ronin Studios, doing covers and short stories. He eventually moved on to help start Enemy One studios. Adam is gearing up for the release of his first art book, and is working on a new crime series with writer Raphael Majma.

Keep an eye out for these guys, because they have a lot of cool stuff coming your way.

Speaking of cool stuff, let’s talk a bit more about the San Diego Comic Con, which takes place this week. Comic Con sees the release of Billy Banes #1, HoCal: The Collected Webcomics, Path to Armageddon TPB vol. 1, and the Guns of Shadow Valley #1 Preview Edition. We’re also giving away a Nintendo DS Lite at the con. Be sure to stop by the booth to find out how you can win. We are located at booth 2306.

I’ll see you all there!
